Aylish
Aylish grew up on the beautiful, rugged coast of Mendocino County in a small town called Anchor Bay. At a very young age, her passion for animals was easily noticed by all who knew her. Her family had chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits, dogs, and cats. She learned valuable animal husbandry skills through the years of tending to the animals. When Aylish was not either in school or at home, she was riding her horse at the local Three-Day Event Barn. Aylish has always had a deep love and passion for horses and the sport of Eventing.
Aylish moved to Santa Cruz in 2010, where she attended Cabrillo College. She first joined our team at ACPH back in 2016, where she learned valuable skills and acquired an appreciation for veterinary medicine. In 2017, she left ACPH to pursue a veterinary assistant job at Central Coast Veterinary Clinic, where she worked with Dr. Leah Forquer for eight years, specializing in equine sports medicine. While working in equine sports medicine, she was also competing her off-the-track Thoroughbred mare, Rosso Bellezza. Aylish produced Rosso Bellezza through the Preliminary level in Eventing.
In the fall of 2024, Aylish made the choice to come back to ACPH to focus on achieving her goal of becoming an RVT. She is looking forward to attending the VASE Veterinary program in the fall of 2025. When not working or riding, you can find Aylish playing with dogs Desi and Penny, two loveable pit mixes.
